Feb. 2006 - Oct. 2012London Area, United Kingdom After 1 year in New York as Head of IT successfully implementing an organisational consolidation programme relocated to the UK and appointed Programme Manager at GB&M London to deliver business-critical infrastructure programmes including strategic data centres and enterprise integration. Promoted to Programme Director in 2010 to lead a multi-year programme spanning Property, Technology and Business Continuity process change, with a budget in excess of £0.5bn and 300 staff. As Programme Manager for the Strategic Data Centres programme, created programme structure comprising projects addressing; latency certification; active and non-active infrastructure designs; operating models; storage configuration; network vendor selection and overall network design. As Programme Manager for Enterprise Integration, led the integration of the infrastructure of ABN Amro into RBS GBM environments. This included Market Data, E-Commerce, Payment Systems, Middleware, Data Centres (rationalisation & migrations), Storage, Information Security, and Optimisation. Key Projects & Achievements Successfully led the data centre strategy programme procuring, building and implementing new highly resilient data centre capacity while ensuring close alignment with the wider group strategy. Won “Innovation in Data Centre Consolidation” at the London Data Centre Dynamics, Data Centre Leaders Awards, 2010. Successfully delivered a £0.5bn capital investment programme to eliminate operational resilience shortcomings identified after a severe but plausible operational disruption. Managed delivery of virtual desktop & virtual voice deployments, property acquisition, data centre build & migration and M&E upgrades across multiple properties. The programme allowed the business to withstand property and technology failures seamlessly across the London campus.
