May. 2019 - Jun. 2023Rome, Latium, ItalyAs a Process Excellence Manager at AirSp&A, I have had the opportunity to combine my passion for aviation and aeronautics (I was and I am an "AvGeek") with my expertise in operational excellence development and management. AirSp&A is a Italian aerial firefighting company that utilizes cutting-edge Air Tractor AT802 FireBoss aircraft to combat wildfires, and it is currently having contracts both domestically and internationally. With my background as an aerospace engineer and my enthusiasm for aviation, I have been able to best my performances in this position by focusing on improving internal processes and efficiency. During the time working with AirSp&A, I have leveraged my Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt certifications to drive important enhancements in the company's internal processes. I have played an instrumental role in streamlining operations, reducing costs, and increasing overall efficiency, ultimately allowing the company mainly to develop a flexible business structure, becoming more responsive to B2G relations, and lastly to respond more effectively to wildfires. By implementing data-driven decision-making and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, I have been able to inspire positive change throughout the organization. Developing process improvement with cross-functional teams, I have identified bottlenecks and areas of potential improvement, leading to the development and implementation of solutions that have impacted the company's performance. My efforts have resulted in measurable improvements in key performance indicators and have laid the groundwork for AirSp&A's ongoing success in the aerial firefighting industry.

Launching a business in a foreign country presented its fair share of challenges, but through perseverance and adaptability, I was able to establish international relationships and achieve good performances in both remote and on-site international business development. My hands-on experience in local start-up development and consulting for new businesses in Romania provided me with important insights into the complexities of starting a business abroad and into the international business landscape. Despite the initial challenges of operating in an unfamiliar environment, my experience in Romania has enriched my understanding of diverse cultures, business practices, and market dynamics, making me a more versatile and well-rounded entrepreneur and professional. The ability to navigate uncharted territories, adapt to new situations, and develop innovative solutions in the face of adversity has been essential to my ongoing success. Throughout my journey with the former iteration of FineAdvisors, I have fine-tuned my skills in leadership, negotiation, relationship-building, internationalization, business planning, market research, and strategic analysis. By embracing challenges and learning from each experience, I have developed a keen sense for identifying opportunities and navigating the ever-evolving world of international business. Oct. 2015 - May. 2019Rome, Latium, ItalyI got my degree in Aerospace Engineering from Università di Roma "La Sapienza," culminating in a thesis on the "Application of a Gearbox to a Turbofan Engine: Mechanical Effects and Performance Improvement." This research project allowed me to delve into the complexities of aerospace engineering, showcasing my analytical capabilities and deep understanding of the subject matter. My thesis, though seemingly simple at first glance, presented a significant challenge as it involved recreating and optimizing a turbofan engine by applying a gearbox from the perspective of a Bachelor graduating student, drawing inspiration from Pratt & Whitney's groundbreaking work on the PW1100G engine. Through the thesis set-up, I developed a keen interest in the field of single and multi-objective optimization, which subsequently led me to pursue Lean Six Sigma certifications. This passion for optimization and continuous improvement has become a cornerstone of my professional journey, shaping my approach to engineering and process excellence. This experience has ignited a lifelong passion for optimization and the pursuit of excellence, ultimately propelling me forward in my career and laying the groundwork for my future successes in process improvement, business development and strategy excellence.
