Sotheby'sDirector of Integrated Marketing & Vice President | Cross-Functional Leadership, Strategy
Feb. 2020 - Nov. 2020New York, United StatesAs Director of Integrated Marketing at Sotheby's, I led a team that bridged the salesforce and marketing division, strategically developing and deploying marketing capabilities across global operations in New York, London, and Hong Kong. I partnered with business leads to develop marketing strategies for various divisions, sales, and special projects across fine art, luxury goods, and automobiles. My role required managing a +$10 million marketing budget and leading 8 account managers executing brand, content, and digital marketing initiatives. I fostered cross-functional collaboration between digital, content, brand, experiential, and partnerships teams to deliver best-in-class campaigns for single objects and collection sales. Additionally, I identified and delivered new key demographic audiences to expanded online sales and buy-now initiatives, producing $285 million in sales and breaking multiple industry benchmarks. During the pandemic, I spearheaded a groundbreaking virtual auction production that connected the New York, London, and Hong Kong salesrooms through a millisecond-latency broadcast system. This required coordinating global operations, technology, production, and sales teams to create a hybrid format with synchronized physical auctioneers, digital bid monitoring, and live communication. The event generated $500M+ in sales and attracted 200,000+ viewers across web, social media, mobile apps, connected TV, and linear broadcast. The initiative established new industry standards for digital auctions while maintaining premium client experiences during unprecedented disruption. I used this role to enhance team efficiency through clear processes and improved communication, improving alignment on strategic goals, internal reporting, and project turnaround. Success required representing a complex organization both internally and externally, navigating internal politics, and rapidly learning new information across diverse product categories.
