D1 Men's Team Manager and Recruiting Lead
West Houston Rugby ClubD1 Men's Team Manager and Recruiting Lead
Jul. 2018 - Jun. 2019Houston, Texas AreaTeam Manager and Recruiting Lead for the D1 Men's Team for the West Houston Lions. The concept is to have a place for the SaberCats' Tier 3 players (the Match Fee players who may not make the Cats game day 23 every week) to play consistent, competitive rugby, PLUS develop motivated players, coaches, referees, and administrators to be prepared to move into the professional game as it expands and grows in North America. Additionally, it is understood that Houston is a metropolis of 7mm people growing to and estimated 8.5mm people in 8-10 years. We see no reason why the Greater Houston Area should not have three D1 men's and women's rugby teams each and six D2 men's teams competing at the pinnacle of the community club rugby ranks and contributing to the sustainable growth of the professional rugby game in the USA. It is our intent that this becomes a reality and this is where that journey begins.
