I grew up on a horse farm and started riding and showing horses competitively since I was 3 years old. I moved on to becoming a professional horseback rider as soon as I turned 18 years old. From 18-23 years old I worked for a private family in North Carolina managing the barn, training the 2 girls, making/organizing the girls schedules, both riding & personal, as well as planning and traveling all over the U.S. to horse shows with them and their 6-8 ponies & horses. After 5 years of working as a personal assistant, trainer, and rider for that family, I moved on to start and promote myself and my own business out of Purchase, NY, where I rode and showed sale horses, taught riding lessons to kids and adults, ran a summer camp with 15+ kids each week; and traveled to different horse shows all over the U.S. and Canada with my customers and their horses all 12 months of the year. I organized and booked all of the traveling arrangements, accommodations, etc. for all the customers each time we traveled far enough away from home. I just recently slowed down and stepped away from running my own horse business, as well as sold the farm I had worked out of for the last 8 years. As much as I love horses and working with them, the level of stress and amount of time taken away from my personal life, has led me to change my career path for the future. I want to be able to be HOME and have a foreseeable future that includes kids and my own family. Therefore, I am looking to see what paths are calling my name for my future endeavors.
