Access to Capital • Understand various financing models, including angel investing, venture capital, and traditional lending institutions. • . Build and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, donors, and funding agencies to facilitate access to capital. • Evaluate the feasibility and suitability of different funding mechanisms based on project requirements and risk profiles. • Connect and link SMMEs/startups to lending opportunities for financial growth. • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and funding opportunities to optimize funding strategies. • Ensure compliance with funding guidelines, regulations, and reporting requirements. • Cultivate partnerships and networking opportunities to expand the organization's funding network. • Monitor and track the utilization of funds, ensuring compliance with funding requirements & regulations. Access to Mentors: • Build a pool of mentors from private and public sector • Assign mentors to each startup/SMME, considering budget constraints and remuneration. • Monitor mentor-mentee relationships, ensuring obligations are met. • Host an annual mentors/mentees networking session. Alumni Network: • Establish and manage a database of all SMMEs/Startups in Sloane's programs. • Promote alumni achievements, success stories, and opportunities • Collaborate with relevant departments to offer alumni-exclusive benefits, such as continuing education opportunities, and access to facilities/resources
