Aug. 2010Pasadena, TexasIn this role, I collaborate with outside attorneys regarding the filing of court documents, arrangement of client interviews/depositions, and relationship maintenance with opposing counsel regarding status of pending cases. I supervise reporting of workers' compensation and act as a key point of liaison between carrier and company. I adhere to FCPA, UK Bribery Act, and other jurisdictional laws to sustain business and ensure operations operate within the confines of the law. I control internal inquiries regarding employment and compliance issues based on recruitment, performance appraisal, compensation, health and safety, and labor relations. I lead management training and provide consultation on employment issues, anti-trust, ethics, and litigation avoidance. I develop and analyze NDAs (Non-disclosure agreement), commercial leases, promissory note/confidentiality/master service/loan agreements, and other company contracts. Furthermore, I provide support in several mergers and acquisitions as well as implement purchasing and procurement functions to improve service delivery. I serve as company secretary for accurate documentation of corporate/board of director files and compliance. A significant selection of my key achievements includes:
• Served as compliance officer and assessed multi-national labor requirements by providing effective compliance recommendations and adhering to legal regulations of South America, UK, Canada, and Mexico.
• Negotiated favorable settlements within insurance coverage through delivery of exceptional services.
• Represented the Company in Collective Bargaining situations.
• Provided resolution of several FLSA, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, and other employee related lawsuits. • Established and implemented company policies , as well as developed training material for upper management regarding appointment, termination, discipline, and communication with staff along with drafting and upholding employee handbook.
