Oct. 2012 - Nov. 2014Cambridge, MAThe Residential Life Area Director is responsible for furthering the mission of the Division of Student Life and Department of Residential Life and Dining. This key position, in collaboration with other members of the House team, is responsible for supporting and enhancing the undergraduate residential and extracurricular experience at MIT. The Residential Life Area Director will work to encourage the highest standards of good citizenship and respect for others among members of the residential community by upholding expectations for conduct aligned with MIT policies and practices, helping students understand the value of living in a diverse community, and facilitating the resolution of group or individual conflict in the community. The RLAD will assist students in promoting a strong sense of community within the House and in understanding and making best use of the non-academic resources available throughout the Institute. The RLAD will also provide guidance and support to individuals and groups around personal and social issues.
