Corporate Finance Services (Cfs) was set up in 1997 with a mission to introduce local companies with global products and services. Cfs currently arranges funding for local companies by using various instruments both in equity and debt markets and helps them with their business development targets with financial engineering know-how established during the last 30 years. Sep. 1994 - Jun. 1997I joined Demirbank as Executive Vice President with a mission to start investment banking activities during 1994. Our team established a remarkable growth and we became a major player in the market with special focus on foreign capital markets. Later, I was asked to take the role of founding General Manager of Demir Investment Co. Inc. which was set up as an extension of Demirbank Investment Banking Division. Demirbank shares were listed on Munich Stock Exchange, an ADR program was structured with BONY in the US market, US, Europe and Germany trading desks were setup which dramatically increased the visibility and recognition of the Bank.

Mar. 1993 - Aug. 1994Istanbul, TurkeyAs the general manager of a newly established small brokerage house, I had a chance to have valuable insight on the operations of the brokerage house industry for a short period of time. During this period, Ekinciler grew from a tiny operation into a full active investment bank with more than 150 staff with branches in major cities. Foreign investors were the main activitiy with a special focus on Germany listings. Ekinciler became a market leader in providing brokerage services to foreign investors.

Oct. 1987 - Dec. 1992I joined the newly established Tekstilbank as equities head. We initiated the first foreign investor transactions on the Istanbul Stock Exchange and acted as their main broker for succeeding years. Equities unit expanded into a full service investment banking division in a short period of time providing full services. Our team completed 22 IPOs, managed 7 privatisation projects, arranged corporate bond and secondary offerings. Very first research on stock exchange listed companies were published which was featured on Financial Times.
CitiEquities Unit Head
Jun. 1985 - Sep. 1987Istanbul, TurkeyI initiated the equities brokerage activities for Citibank Turkey. Citibank became the first foreign founding member of the Istanbul Stock Exchange. Our team worked together closely with authorities at Capital Markets Board and Istanbul Stock Exchange so as to help them with introducing new products, rules and regulations into the newly established markets. T-Bill repo transactions and bond issues were among several novelties created by our department.
