Apr. 2023 - May. 2025Columbia, MOI was fundamental in the transition and purchase of Flat Branch Bank by new ownership and oversaw, setup, and created numerous new product lines and systems for loans, deposits, and policies. I served as the lynchpin in the lending process with the responsibility of solo approving the majority of loans and operating as the de facto chief credit officer/senior lender responsible for loan review, credit department functions, and documentation while also serving as the lead lending officer. The year-over-year results were an increase of nearly 3 times in the size of the loan portfolio while doubling the bank core deposits. The bank also maintained a Net Interest Margin of over 4% with no increase to classified assets or past dues. The experience of this opportunity was rewarding to me personally and professionally. I look to utilize my gained knowledge in my next venture with an eye to further evolve and develop personally and professionally myself and my future team.

Two new branches were built by the organization during my tenure as Market/Community Bank President with substantial growth in both loans and deposits in the market. As the Columbia, MO markets were remote in relation to HQ, I was also the primary liason for the market between HQ and the branches in the area. I was responsible for communicating effectively the needs of both my staff and myself to HQ and from upper management at HQ back to the staff to deliver consistent and precise information effectively setting and managing expectations. I served in local community charities and social clubs during this tenure and was the treasurer of a local not-for-profit during a multi-million Capital Campaign to build a new shelter primarily focused on assisting the transitional housing needs for the homeless US Veteran.
