-June 2024 to August, 2024- Contracted by Waha Oil Company in Libya as Drilling Supt. to supervise drilling and completions projects in their Sirte Basin fields
-February 2024 to March, 2024- contracted to assist BP in an abandonment project in Northern Alberta
-October, 2023 /March, 2024- Contracted as Operations Manager to develop a scope of work for a geothermal project in El Salvador. 2 Pilot wells, up to 6 production wells and 4 injection wells. Researched local services and began soliciting information from services to develop a timeline and cost estimate.
-February/March 2023 provided inspection and commissioning services. Conducted inspection and commissioning of a drilling rig moved onto a location in Brazil from Argentina. Completed end to end inspection. Started and load tested critical components to confirm rig as fit for service.
-December 2022 provided Inspection services of drilling rigs in Texas for a client considering importation of rig to Brazil.
-July/August 2021 contracted as Drilling Supervisor of drilling operations on 2 wells being drilled in Northeastern British Columbia to test geothermal potential of the field.
-February 2021 completed a forensic analysis of 2 Coiled Tubing Incidents for a client in Mexico
-October 2020 completed a Bid Evaluation for Drilling Services for a client in Egypt.
-June 2020 completed a Corporate Emergency Response Plan for a client in Egypt
-February 2020 contracted as Drilling Supervisor to supervise the drilling of shallow MD, long reach lateral wells with rotary steerable assemblies in Northern Alberta
Self Employed Drilling & Completions Consultant
Oct. 2017Calgary, Canada AreaDuring the early part of 2020, I was contracted to supervise the drilling of shallow TVD, long reach laterals using rotary steerable assemblies through thin (1.5m to 2.5m) sands in the Spirit River area. During the operation, we were able to establish the use of the rotary steerable system to drill a second lateral, thus opening the potential of multi leg lateral sections without changing drilling assemblies. Since June of 2018 I've been contracted to Parex Resources Inc as a Senior Wellsite Supervisor, Completions and Workovers providing onsite operations management at all active areas of the company within Colombia. Working with Colombian engineers within the company as well as service companies and contractors I supervise operations as sole supervisor on a service rig working 24 hours on multi well pads with simultaneous operations. Tasked with providing experienced oversight, recommendations and guidance to ensure work progresses smoothly and without undue delays. Supervising Completions on multi well pads simultaneous operations.

The two areas covering 622 square kilometers with 5 existing fields, 4 of which are producing have many reactivation candidates as well as potential for new wells.
The field was originally discovered in 1937 and part of the challenge is phasing in newer generation equipment as workover successes and market pressures allow. With any production outside of the core areas in Argentina, logistics plays a big role in the success of a project so good long range planning is key.
My background in drilling and completions as well as my knowledge of production have all been put into play with this new role.

In Argentina, where it operates as President Petroleum S.A., President Energy holds a 100% working interest and is the Operator in the CNO-8 “Puesto Guardian” license and two exploration license areas ("Matorras and Ocultar") surrounding Puesto Guardian in Salta Province, Argentina.
The company wants to grow through the bit and has recently embarked on a workover campaign that if successful could open up drilling potential for later in the year. My immediate role is to help the company, by not only using my overall experience but my several years of experience in Argentina to help navigate to a technically successful conclusion of the workover program to improve production that leads to cash flow and further investment. A near ground floor opportunity there is great potential that I am anxious to explore.

Cub’s strategy is to use western technology and capital, combined with local expertise to create value in its undeveloped land base, building a portfolio of high-margin producing oil and gas assets. Contracted by Cub Energy Inc. as Drilling Superintendent and soon after was directly hired and promoted to Drilling & Completions Manager to support land based operations at their project in western Ukraine, near the city of Uzhgorod. Duties include the training and mentoring of engineering and supervisory personnel in procedures and techniques used extensively in western style operations. This training ran the gamut from basic to complex. Supported the engineering team with programming and execution of drilling, completion and workover programs. When and as required, I stayed at well site to mentor and demonstrate new techniques to personnel on location to ensure these procedures were implemented. Where possible, and in order to avoid potential problems I attempted to work these new ideas into existing procedure. I actively participated in safety meetings. Monitored day to day reporting of operations to train Ukrainian to English translators in oilfield jargon and to ensure accuracy of reporting. Work with budgets and forecasting. Generation and implementation of cost control techniques and reporting procedures. Reported to Head Office management.

Feb. 2010 - Oct. 2013Buenos Aires, ArgentinaEmployed by Crown Point Ventures, a small Canadian E&P company wanting to grow in Argentina. Responsible for direct day to day management of field activities, drilling and completion/workover operations as well as production and sales monitoring and reporting. Initially contracted as a Drilling Engineer and later hired as Operations Manager based in Buenos Aires. As single point of contact for drilling, completions and production experience my initial duties were;
-Forensic analysis of a previous 3 well program with a view to procedure and costs. Develop recommendations for future programs.
-Program and supervise at the field level a workover on a single well in the field key to identifying future field development. -Program, negotiate terms and contract, locate materials and services, develop AFE for drilling and completion and production equipment for a 3 well program.
-Supervise drilling operations at the field level. Monitor and control completion and installation of production equipment.
-Generate End of Well reports. An additional 11 wells were drilled as well as the engineering and installation of a medium voltage (10.1 kVa) electrical system and conversion of existing wells. Additionally managed the engineering of a 600 m3/day treating, storage and sales facility with well test facility and water disposal capabilities. Successfully initiated and completed;
-Development of cost and reporting controls and procedures.
-Development of roles and responsibilities for Operations personnel.
-Development of Joint Operating and Production Sharing Agreements
-Located, interviewed and hired Engineering and Field support personnel.
-Opened an Operations base out of Buenos Aires to position engineering near the work area and to allow better access to service company support. Efforts resulted in a five fold increase in production from the field and an electrical installation that allows easy growth into future projects.
