The program helped improve existing business skills and shed light on more advanced strategies in the areas of Operations Management, Human Resource Management, Pharmacy and Healthcare Management, and Supply Chain Management. As well as chemotherapy medication disbursements, drug diversions and medication safety. Selected highlights of the program include:
• Shadowed the company's business executives as they interviewed candidates for the position of Pharmacy Director.
• Met with the procurement team to learn more about operations strategies and effective approaches to handling drug shortages.
• Experienced the day-to-day operations of the distribution center at the Presbyterian Medical Center.
• Attended team meetings where the directors and different clinics updated each other.
