Jana Wright graduated top of her class in dual Medical Billing and Diagnostic Coding and Medical Office Management. After graduation, she worked with a new DME business, establishing electronic tracking of equipment and billing for said equipment. She spent several months helping a coworker with medical collections. She handled front office duties including check ins, answering phones, answering billing questions. She helped a newly graduated Orthopedic Fellow establish his practice, handing everything from ordering supplies, inventory, check in and check out, pulling paper charts, updating charts by listening to dictation, surgery scheduling and aftercare for patients and running the office when the Doctor was not in. She has experience in Orthopedics, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Infertility and Neurosurgery. Her favorite is Family Practice. She was the Office Manager, Hiring Manager and Medical Billing Manager for Atkinson Family Practice. She supervised a staff of six to ten, and held this position until the Physician closed his clinical practice and moved in March of 2020. She closed and made sure every contract, every bill, every insurance entity knew in advance that this clinic would be closed by 31 March 2020. In the months and the year following, she continued to work the A/R, sending out monthly statements and reconciling patients accounts. Patients who did not pay were put with a collection agency, and every patient that had paid got a final statement of accounting.
