This includes infrastructure components, such as servers, operating systems, storage networks, communication networks, security methods and the like, as well as the applications software on servers, workstations, and mobile devices. Works closely with the Enterprise Systems Architecture, Development & Integration, Data Base and others to ensure the ongoing viability, performance, and success of all Enterprise Systems. Determines and documents gaps between current and desired state of all Enterprise Systems. Works with other members of IT Leadership to acquire, design, and develop system solutions and implementation plans based on business objectives, priorities, user requirements, and technology capabilities. Serves as technical lead for Enterprise Systems operation and support. Manages the maintenance and deployment of the firm’s “workstation image”. Operates, monitors, and supports the platforms used to reliably and efficiently deliver Enterprise Systems to end users. Supports efforts to ensure Enterprise Systems comply with firm and industry best practices for usability, security and information governance. Creates and manages service requests for Enterprise Systems operational support, including scheduling, resource allocations, task assignment, kick-off meetings, hand-off meetings, reporting and updates. Serves as an internal consultant to resolve high-level functional and technical Enterprise Systems issues. Participates in the analysis and resolution of defects or shortcomings discovered during the quality assurance process. Mentors and trains other members of the Enterprise Systems team on the technologies, methods, and disciplines which will help them be successful in delivering and supporting Enterprise Systems. Performs special projects as assigned.
