Oct. 2013 - Feb. 2015NY• Launched the company’s first “activation space” to enhance employees’ affinity with and awareness of the full scope of the AOL brand, which included TechCrunch and The Huffington Post. • Identified opportunities for cross-functional synergy and harnessed the energy of in-house resources across production, operations, and other departments, motivating teams to “buy in” and achieve shared objectives. • Organized, produced, and hosted a highly anticipated calendar of company-wide events such as Hack-a-Thons, “Shark Tank”-style contests, brand activations, unique partner experiences, continuing education, and employee achievement celebrations that built community across the 300-person NYC office.
• Conceptualized, produced, and marketed the AOL Speaker Series, which began as an internal initiative to educate and inspire employees in the NYC office and was subsequently streamed to offices globally, serving as the precursor to AOL Build, one of the first online-only talk shows, setting a precedent for digital media content. • Achieved significant online viewership, exemplified by Jane Fonda's 2015 interview, which garnered over two million views on AOL platforms, and sustained the show's relevance and popularity over six years, from its inception in August 2014 until its conclusion in June 2020.
• Collaborated with the CEO, CTO, and CMO to engage celebrities and expand AOL Build from an internal activation to an external brand marketing campaign, resulting in its placement as an established stop on press tours and sponsorship by Verizon prior to their acquisition of AOL.
