Bob Herkes enjoyed a long and storied career in the hospitality industry. He was on the opening management teams of the Hyatt Regency Waikoloa, the Outrigger Marshall Islands Resort, the St. Regis Bora Bora and the Sheraton Keauhou. Qualifications include a Masters certificate in Food and Beverage Management through eCornell, T.I.P.S. Certified trainer, Starwood Service Promise Champion, Trainer for Hawai`i Tour Drivers and Guides. Awards include Manager of the Quarter at Sheraton Kaua`i and Fairmont Orchid and an Innovation award for spearheading development an interactive website at Hilton Waikoloa Village, the first for the company. Specializing in Food and Beverage, Bob has managed operations throughout Hawai`i and the Pacific. He has managed breakfasts for over a thousand guests, planned and serviced state dinners for the South Pacific Forum and a wedding proposal dinner at Kona Village by candlelight on a beach in a secluded cove complete with a guitarist playing “Blue Hawai`i.” Following retirement from the industry, he is now an author / publisher through Amazon with several memoirs under RB Herkes and a photographer with portfolios’ in Adobe Stock, Shutterstock and Dreamstime. Bob also consults and advises small companies on customer service concerns and HR issues from behavioral interviews to addressing colleague concerns and handbook preparation. Any questions?
