Hello! I am an educator with over 15 years of experience in public and private school, and hold teaching certificates in English, journalism, ESL, and technical education. I and have taught everything from advanced photography to SAT prep, and have countless hours of leadership experience in non-profit/service organizations. My passions include curriculum-writing, graphic design, editing, proofreading, and writing. I thrill in taking a plain, uninspired lesson or slide deck, and making it captivating. Turning a mistake-riddled, disorganized, and dull piece of writing into an engaging and refined piece makes my heart soar. On a related note, classroom design is also a passion of mine. Classrooms should be inviting and comfortable, as well as inspiring. My skills in this area are renown; parents, peers, and most importantly, students, marvel at my space and routinely wish they could spend more time there (goal achieved). Connecting with students is also a joy, whether in person or online. As an educator during the pandemic, I excelled in online instruction. During a recent ACT tutoring job, I realized how much I missed it. I famously build strong relationships with my students, staying in touch long after graduation. Additionally, my skills and experience, along with my overall helpful and personable nature, also make me an excellent candidate for jobs outside of education. I would make an outstanding assistant, recruiter, and/or coordinator. Overall, I would make a superb addition to any organization and look forward to a new adventure.
