Responding to customer concerns & ensuring maintenance of lighting columns was properly conducted. I personally re-introduced a system for recovering costs of street furniture following RTC's. this enabled the council to recover over £120,000 in costs within the first year.

With an excellent working relationship with the police, parish & ward councillors & all the local charity groups, I maintained a good network for news gathering. I mentored a group of students in producing their own student newspaper which ran at the centre of the paper for one issue.
