Work Background
Digital Communications Manager
Creative ScotlandDigital Communications Manager
Jul. 2021Creative Scotland is the public body that supports the arts, screen and creative industries across all parts of Scotland. It's a true honour to be Digital Communications Manager there, leading on all digital channels and content and advising on various projects and activities across Creative Scotland and Screen Scotland. Through our channels, we share the activities of organisations and individuals from across Scotland, as well as raising awareness of the support we offer through funding and development opportunities. I have two wonderful Digital Communications Officers in my team - I'm so proud I get to work with them. We support our many in-house teams and workstreams, as well as the many funded organisations and individuals that we work with each year. Together we manage a multitude of websites, social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) with a combined audience of 200,000 followers, and several newsletters. We also create effective and engaging video content, long-form and short-form editorial content, and visual content for the Creative Scotland website and social channels. And what would all that work be without some analytics and reporting! A project I'm really excited about is my role as Digital lead on Our Creative Voice, our wonderful advocacy campaign, which promotes the value and impact of the arts and creativity on all aspects of life. Uncovering so many powerful stories, and fascinating data, and turning them into very fun content has been a joy!
