I’m a sustainability expert, academic, and policy advisor with over 12 years of experience working across the public, private, and non-profit sectors. I hold a PhD in Environmental Management and have had the privilege of working in roles that span strategic research, advocacy, leadership, and education. Currently, I serve as a Senior Researcher and Policy Advisor in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor at the University of Auckland, and I also teach as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Open Polytechnic. Throughout my career, I’ve led national environmental campaigns, developed and implemented international sustainability strategies, and supported large-scale conservation and policy initiatives. I’ve worked with organizations like Forest & Bird, Auckland Council, Ecostore, and T&G Global, and co-founded two purpose-driven businesses. I’m also the Chairperson of Native Bird Rescue, where I help guide our strategic direction and community partnerships. My strengths lie in translating complex ideas into practical action, building strong collaborations, and staying grounded in a commitment to ecological and social wellbeing. Whether I’m advising on policy, mentoring students, or launching community-focused projects, I’m driven by a desire to create systems-level change and support others to do the same.
