As my expected roll for a PA, before the merger, i worked for Nokia Networks for 6 month and continued for other after that as Nokia Siemens networks. Apart from my usual admin duties, i was given the opportunity to test my skills as an Office Manager/Project Manager. Nokia Networks Office was established for the first time in Abu Dhabi, The office required several adjustments and furnishing, therefor, i was assigned to do the needful. Before the merger with Siemens Networks, i managed to sort out the following: 1. Furnishing the entire office: Was required to deal with reputed furnishing companies and receive quotes for pricing as well as check the quality material. Several travels to Dubai and Abu Dhabi was necessary during. 2. Obtain stationary suppliers as a point of contact: Luckily, as a person being in Abu Dhabi since birth, i managed to get the right contacts. 3. Obtain 5 star Hotel services with a competitive price for the employees who were coming to Abu Dhabi. 4. Obtain a cleaning service providers and ensure their work was completed each day. 5. During the merger with Siemens Networks, i have learnt a lot on employees behavior and how it was managed during a tricky phase. After the merger, the office grew and had the opportunity to deal with an exciting and bigger team. In order to perform my best with the given pressure and task, i always had the support, encouragement and trust of my boss. Therefore, i decided to make use of my creative skills and renewed, redesigned, reorganized all the files, got the file room cleaned, threw and eliminated all everything files and supplies that had no value (After the boss approval of-course), same was implemented with the stationary. As a result, eliminated waste, identified quantity and was a much enhanced visual management in identifying and finding all that is needed.
