This project involved converting over a million records from an old obfuscated data collection of a million records into a modern SQL database. I scoped the database requirements, docker repos and built up the infrastructure then created a REST-API for other services to reach the database. I then created commandline tools using node.js to import all of the records from their proprietary javascript format to SQL. Once the data was available in SQL I created a frontend that the teams could use to access and verify the data and ultimately use it going forward with much more ease and speed than the previous format. I created python, and Bash scripted tools to import articles from blog platforms that didn't work with WordPress. Apr. 2019 - Jul. 2019New York, New York, United StatesIBM Watson Cognitive Booth. This project involved building a booth that would allow Watson to learn about the user and create a portrait. I consulted with the team to find the languages that were most commonly known so that we could jump in with the best possible speed so we could get the project out in time for the US Open. I built the UI used in the booth and the Node API on IBM Cloud to collect the data coming from the booth. I worked with the backend team to get the REST-API to talk to the API. I also built out a web version of the app that would return an image. Once the US Open was over the booth was taken to various other events and continued to be showcased for months after. I also cleaned up the SVG logo used in the videos to improve the smoothness of the animation. Skills:
