● Responsibilities included field producing and shooting original content in the field, developing stories, monitoring news cycle, acquiring and licensing archival and supplementary materials, fact checking, and reporting at all stages of production.
● Served as the lead producer and camera person on “Institutionalized: Mental Health Behind Bars.” which has received almost a million views on YouTube and was met with praise from the criminal justice reform community. ● Worked as a Producer/Shooter on a number of ‘dispatch’ operations where our teams flew to breaking news event and produce, shoot, and cut shorter-form material and file it from the field. In this capacity, I covered a number of high-profile news events including the events in Baltimore that followed the death of Freddie Gray, a border crisis in the Dominican Republic, strikes and protests in Chicago, and Burundi's contested 2015 Presidential elections.
● Developed a thorough understanding of producing news-based, documentary-style videos and directing an on-camera reporter.
