I enjoy working with clients to provide writing, editing and video instruction services targeted for either internal company or consumer facing projects, as well as compiling market research and creating PowerPoint presentations or reports. I also enjoy writing and editing technical or instructional materials; making them easy for the reader to understand, yet including all the needed details. I have a background in computer systems analysis and technical writing, and for 2 years was the Department Head for the writing staff of a start-up catalog direct-sales software company. At the software company I was responsible for; - meeting with clients, then working with the programming and quality control departments to assure the client received a functioning system to meet their needs, - the creation of new systems operation manuals that were given to clients when they purchased our company software, including managed a staff of writers as the chief Editor, - was featured in films explaining the systems operations for clients, - and presented in-person workshops pertaining to the technical systems operations for the software company's clients. After leaving the software company, I was an independent computer systems analyst and programmer-to-client liaison. In this role I was responsible for; - coordinating work with the on-staff and contract programmers of my clients to assure the client received the best results for their internal users, - trouble-shooting system anomalies together with a client's internal users and programmers , - and providing written procedure documents, trouble-shooting findings and recommendation reports to the clients. Currently I work as an independent contractor for global Fine Art Paint manufacturers helping to: - review and edit product marketing materials for the US market, - provide written, photo, video and in-person materials and training for company staff and retailers, - and perform market research for the USA that I compile into a quarterly PowerPoint report.
