Family ConnectionsCo-Owner and Director of Program Development
Jan. 2005 - Jan. 2011Grants, NMIn this position, my work involved planning, managing, and coordinating all activities and operation for mental health programs. These programs provided services to community agencies such as Federal, Adult, and Juvenile Probation and Parole, as well as the Children, Youth, and Families Departments. Throughout this portion of my career, I organized all of the programs that went through our company—many of these involved serving diverse communities and cultures. Additionally, I acted as a Grant Writer and performed data analyses. A few outstanding accomplishments I’d like to share from this position are:
• Through a $250,000 grant, I created and initiated the Cornerstone Project, which serve at-risk youth with hands-on programs. • I increased the number of clientele serviced by Family Connections by 300% through intensive work in contracts.
• Through new processes and evaluations of programs in a local drug court, I was able to minimize recidivism by 50%
