Jan. 2020 - May. 2023Cape Town Area, South Africa-Report to the Project Lead in the leading role of strategising the campaign’s communication with its identified audiences, as well as forge and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as government departments, civil society organisations, and academia.
-Manage joint projects while input into the campaign’s strategy. -Provide communication strategy, plans and activities, content calendar, and newsletter writing.
-Produce communication outputs such as publications.
-Manage online/offline events, organise launches, as well as social media events.
Strategise mobilisation sessions with the constituency of young people. -Media liaison (pitching and producing media interviews). Write and pitch opinion content on national publications.
-Network Development: identify potential stakeholders that could endorse the Action Plan.
-Stakeholder Management: establish and maintain mutually beneficial relationships. Oversees the schedule for activities to hold relevant stakeholders accountable for the timely delivery of tasks and outputs. Successful Projects & Achievements
-Created a brand with a great reputation, trusted by government departments, media, civil society, and young people alike.
-Worked to catalyse coordinated collaboration between stakeholders to tackle the broad-ranging, systemic challenges that result in low productive economic activity among young South Africans.
-Obtained over 50 organisations endorsing Youth Capital’s Action Plan.
-Worked with ONE Campaign on the Jobs Charter #JobsNowAfrica Launch.
-Set up a newsletter for the general audience, a newsletter for Campaigners, and a media newsletter using a newsletter programme.
