Nov. 2013Director and heading a Disease (Kala azar) elimination program sponsored by BMGF. Heading the operations of program and providing support to the government in achieving the elimination targets. The program performance has improved by 2 times in the last 2 years by proactive introduction of IT powered innovative monitoring tools, Human resource management, technical support, gap analysis and mitigation strategies, etc. The scale up project started in 2013 and had to build the team of 300+ spread across 40 districts in 2 states. SOME NOTABLE MILESTONES • Hiring and training of 300+ field staff of Bihar and Jharkhand in record time of 2 months and setting up the field monitoring activities. • Strategizing the field monitoring activities with suitable tools that resulted in the increase of household spray coverage from a baseline of 42% to 70% over 2 years. • Strategizing a process which helped the Health Department in managing the fund flow system in a manner that field activities could start on time for the first time in 2015. • Strategizing the suspected patient surveillance and devised tools and fortnightly monitoring platform which helped early detection of cases and complete case data for future analysis. • Setting up a gap-finding mechanism which helped in introducing innovative interventions. • Devising an “intensive elimination strategy” which was later followed by the state governments ‘Health Department’. • The elimination program which was once of low priority became of utmost priority only by way of regular interaction with the health department functionaries. • Suggestions led to the introducing the Health department regular monitoring process at both the Block level (under chairmanship of BDO) and district level (under chairmanship of DM). • Introduction of the concept of e-control rooms at each district for intensive field monitoring.

Also Term loan from ICICI with liberal terms. ; Channel finance (Franchisee/agent) arranged for nationwide franchisees under national MoUs with PSU banks like SBI, PNB, UBI, CBI, IDBI, etc. Quantum of arrangement under MoU ranged between Rs 330-350cr per bank; Innovative structure of finances from private and PSU Banks through securitisation of Govt receivables.; Regular restructuring of channel finances with ballooning, bullet payments, long moratorium, etc to suit business requirement. ; Structured finances from PSU Banks as per business requirement.Factoring facility arranged with strategic terms from HSBC. ; Finances under Priority sector lending and also under CGTMSE scheme; Worked on long term borrowing with ADB, FMO & Austrian Dev Bank under ECB route. Some notable milestones in the Strategic initiative role include Business plans for several projects like CSC, UIDAI, NPR, PURA, Anganbari, MGNREGA, etc ; Conceptualising and business plan for Kharagpur Auto SEZ of SREI. ; Leading the consulting team for J&K Bank CSC project (Consulting assignment); Heading a appraisal team for new project evaluation Implementation of the Payment Gateway with ICICI Bank ;Direct negotiations with Bank Chairman’s’ and other high ranking officials. Formulating innovative collection strategies for receivables.
