Jun. 2014Loganville, Georgia, United StatesAloha, My name is Randy Naleimaile. I’ve been a freelance illustrator since 1998. I got my start as an artist when I worked for Marvel as a penciler back in 1995. It was a dream job for me but also one of the most stressful ones as well. After only a year there I moved back home. I needed a job so I started airbrushing t-shirts for tourists in Waikiki. It was during that time that I met a guy that I would later call my mentor in the t-shirt design biz. Back then everything I did was hand drawn then airbrushed. A design would take days to complete with all of the masking involved. Then came this awesome invention, the Wacom tablet. The rest as they say is history. A lot of people know me for my surf style designs and as of late my female or pinup illustrations which is great but I didn’t want to be typecast so I branched out doing children’s books, album covers, snow and skateboards, game cards as well as magazine ads. My body of work can be seen all over from the tons of t-shirt designs that I’ve created over the years for Quiksilver, Maui & Sons, the NFL, Marvel, Hard Rock Cafe, Miller Brewing, Crown Imports (Corona Beer) to Skateboards and snowboards and my most famous album cover Slash and the Snakepit.
