Brand & Product Illustrator
Peakon, a Workday companyBrand & Product Illustrator
Mar. 2019 - Mar. 2021Copenhagen, Capital Region, DenmarkA literal dream come true. Doing the work I love in a company that loves me back. I've been lucky enough to be taken on by the Danish tech star with a focus on HR and employee experience. For more than 2 years at Peakon, I've focused exclusively on illustration, DE&I representation in product illustration, my work slowly seeping into other areas such as iconography and traditional animation, while working closely with both the marketing and product teams. As an illustrator at Peakon, I have been involved in 3 rebranding projects, helping to make illustration a large part of the company's corporate identity, each time stronger than before. I am not alone in saying that the 2nd rebranding, led by Kontrapunkt, was a real success, leading to Peakon's positioning as a design-centric company that became an inspiration for other startups in Denmark, and also to its acquisition by Workday. Beyond the daily output, I’ve proudly: - created Peakon’s illustration library, - contributed to the Product design system library by creating icon sets - contributed to [Heartbeat](https://heartbeat.peakon.com/), our digital publication which uses employee engagement data to reveal the latest findings about the world of work, - created numerous illustration assets for marketing, sales & internal teams. I've learnt a lot about: - the importance of receiving and giving feedback - both through using our own products and proactively creating a feedback centric team, - about working in an efficient and fun team that takes time to play and be creative outside of brand restrictions, - and most importantly, I've learnt that the employee experience today goes far beyond pay and performance. Wherever I go from here, I'll be a volunteering ambassador for the product, talking about what makes people tick at work, what keeps them engaged and happy, all because I've seen it for myself.
Logistics Manager
Son of a TailorLogistics Manager
Jan. 2018 - Feb. 2019Copenhagen, Capital Region, DenmarkFor me, Son of a Tailor meant more than a job. It was the place where I could professionally go “from nothing to something”. Although, from the education background perspective, I was under and overqualified at the same time, they took me in and allowed me to grow. As a young upcoming worker in an industry I was still learning about, I quickly went from: - my first position of packing T-shirts in boxes and prepare them for delivery - to managing a small team of employees to do it - to overseeing most aspects of that process in our offices - to keeping in touch with our warehouse and regularly visiting it to help smooth out the rough edges of our processes locally. After our COO joined, I became the logistics regiment of the company, while doing substantially of the above, making sure our customers were well informed about their deliveries. Customer support was also a side of this job.
