Mar. 2023Let Them Talk, Inc., co-founded by Anthony Battle, Daniel Mills, and Heather Savage, is a community- and school-based organization dedicated to empowering youth through leadership development, advocacy, and systemic change. Our mission is to address racial disparities, foster leadership, and equip young people with the tools needed for academic, social, and emotional success. While we are deeply committed to uplifting the Black community, we serve all youth who face systemic barriers to success, ensuring access to the resources they need to thrive. We provide critical support in areas such as youth violence prevention, social-emotional learning, skill development, education, and mental wellness through targeted interventions, including: Let Them Talk Club – A mentorship and leadership development program designed to prevent violence, support mental health, and prepare youth for career and academic success. Let Them Talk Coalition – A collaborative network of community-based organizations, advocates, and educators working to bridge gaps between schools, families, and the juvenile justice system, ensuring youth have access to essential resources. Through these initiatives, we engage directly with young people by providing mentorship, community-based alternatives to incarceration, conflict resolution strategies, academic support, and entrepreneurship development. Our holistic, community-driven approach is focused on breaking cycles of disengagement, youth violence, and low graduation rates, ultimately empowering the next generation to succeed.
