When I first began My Mower County, I wanted to feature local small business folks and the market has always had great entrepreneurs! They welcomed me and my rather unconventional ideas (ie-the Free Clothing Exchange) and we've been collaborating in one way or another ever since! While the Austin Farmers' Market has officially closed, the amazing folks behind it are still out finding ways to improve local food security, teach entrepreneurship skills and support local farmers and businesses while enriching the cultural heritage of our community. You can find many of them as committee members for the Growing Acres initiative and farmers markets throughout the region.
