The business is an accommodation facilitator with significant operation, maintenance and logistical needs. - I learned accounting processes and have fully assumed the bookkeeping responsibilities and meet with the accountant to discuss business needs. - Project managed renovations from start to finish. Including research, contractor acquirement, communications, supervision and payment.
- I handle all admin-related duties such as invoicing, scheduling, client relations and procurement.
- I have improved business efficiency through adding modern processes such as software and researching and establishing ISO recommendations at every level. - I used my knowledge and experience in risk management to create a risk matrix on an internal and external scale for the business to be suitably prepared. I have learned a lot about running a business as well as myself through this temporary trajectory change. I believe this gives me a better idea of business and client needs and risks within South Africa as well as where research and risk management can be applied in a very real sense. I have realised I am highly adaptable, a quick learner, and extremely resilient. I am looking forward to applying my learnings and enthusiasm to a new challenging career-related role.
