My duties have included: Rendering first aid in compliance with OH & S guidelines and policies, and working with various HSE consultants to enforce safe work practices. Maintaining and cleaning MTCs (Medical Treatment Centers) and tracking workers through the use of seismic maps and radio call-ins for up to 100 people on site. Maintaining first aid supplies and utilizing UTVs/ATVs/Snowmobiles/Argos as emergency vehicles to provide effective medical care within remote areas. Coordinating with STARS air ambulance and urban ambulance services for emergencies, and practicing safe driving both on and off the road. Working at small and large-scale events, providing communications, crowd control, and radio communications. Leveraging opportunities to provide sports medical coverage. Through my role as an OFA 3 first aid attendant, I have been able to make a meaningful impact by providing life-saving medical care to individuals in remote and high-risk locations, and ensuring that all safety policies and procedures are followed to mitigate risk and prevent injury. My expertise in emergency medical response has enabled me to work effectively in challenging and dynamic environments, where quick decision-making, effective communication, and a calm demeanor are essential for success.
