Mentored students in extracurricular academic competitions. Planned, budgeted, and lead extensive field trips including annual week long excursions of biological exploration in the US and internationally. Took the initiative to perform the majority of departmental administrative duties. Supervised up to 15 work service students in maintaining biology labs. Personally constructed needed equipment and made minor repairs. Served several years as Biology Departmental Representative to the school president. Served one year as chair of the school president's Departmental Advisory Committee. In charge of data gathering and analysis resulting in successful completion of the school's strategic plan.
