As the Project Manager of the FEMA Building Science Branch outreach contract, Alesia has worked on a number of projects to include the Building Codes Toolkit. In an effort to promote stronger and safer construction to non-technical property owners, Alesia conducted research and drafted frequently asked questions, permitting checklist, project planning guide, PowerPoint/webinar etc. to be incorporated into the tool kit. In an effort to create a collective message and set standard procedures for all Branch outreach, Alesia also helped create, develop, and implement an Outreach Strategy and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to be used by all Branch employees and contractors. She has researched and drafted a number of articles on building codes/disaster-resistant building for the Building Safety Journal and the Association of Floodplain Managers News and Views. Alesia also led a 72-hour Hurricane Sandy Social Media Blast effort to promote new FEMA Building Science Branch publications that were developed in the wake of the storm. Federal Highway Administration's "Highways for Life" Programs. Provided support to stakeholder feedback efforts as part of the close-out of this program. Provided logistical support including location scouting, and preparation of questionnaires and handouts, setting up A/V and recording equipment. Provided on-site note-taking and report preparation. Also supported one-on-one key stakeholder interviews, note-taking and interview summary report prep. Following the focus groups and one-on-one interviews, prepared a summary report of findings. Feedback information was then validated via an an OMB-compliant stakeholder survey. Provided input into the questions, drafted an invitation postcard, and conducted data analysis and survey report preparation to summarize the findings. Alesia has PM'd a number of other contracts with FEMA NDSP, EPA, FHWA, (HfL,EDC,CAI), HHS, MCOG and NIST (NEHRP).
