Jul. 2008 - Nov. 2008During my tenure, I was engaged as a build / release engineer responsible for implementing and maintaining the Continuous Integration and Release build environments for all Pentaho products both commercial and open source in Ubuntu and RedHat Linux. I also collaborated daily with local and remote developer resources for all things Subversion. Hudson build management system and Perforce was also available for use in our environment. My duties included creation and maintenance of Ant scripts for build execution and IVY dependency management. We employed the use of Artifactory in our environment for artifact deployment as well. In addition, I was tasked to implement Atlassian Bamboo in the test, production and Continuous Integration environments as it integrated well with Jira / greenhopper our Agile / SCRUM , defect tracking toolset. After much planning and scripting I was instrumental in implementing a build/release infrastructure that reduced the release-time of our flagship product from 12hrs of build and assembly using two engineers to 2hrs. of build and assembly using one engineer.
