The device utilized an algorithm that the group created in Matlab. The program used biomarkers to indicate levels of seizure activity in cells, picked up at different electrode channels, from iEEG patient data. The data was then plotted in Matlab, encrypted using Python code, and uploaded to Amazon Web Services S3 cloud-based storage. The final images were then displayed on a web application.
