Jan. 2008 - Dec. 2011Manage a team of individuals (4 in the US and 4 in Europe) who are responsible for all Scotts Miracle-Gro packaging. Manage company-wide production priorities with internal teams (Brand, Regulatory, Purchasing, Planning, etc.) and vendors (Pre-press, Printers, Studios, etc.) to ensure production timelines are met. Responsible for negotiating estimates and keeping projects on budget. Instrumental in implementing a generic shipper project that created a first year cost savings of $600,000 and cut future E&O, creating future cost savings. Was also responsible for design creation of POS art, in store implementation, and brand standard creation, using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Prepare and present weekly reports that are shared with upper management across the entire company on production readiness. • Train internal team as well as cross-functional partners on the web based project tracker/approval system as well as PLM (SAP) system.
• Create and maintain department SOPs.
• Travel to all printers for frequent press checks.
• Involved in contract negotiations with outside vendors as well as selecting new vendors; managed budgets for projects and Requests for Proposals. • Develop and maintain development plans for my staff and myself.
• Make decisions, delegate and distribute work to members of my team, as well as provide coaching and offer support to my team.
