for yarn production, with up to 1 billion RMB in yearly sales and up to 200 employees. Savio
Shandong belongs to the private group Savio with headquarters in Pordenone, Italy. The group
has yearly sales of up to 400 million euros and up to 1500 employees.
As General Manager, I was in charge of P&L, budgeting, and financial report. In charge of internal
operations and local supply chain by setting policies and making decisions guiding productivity,
quality, and cost efficiency. Coordination with the sales team to maximize customer satisfaction,
turnover, and profit. Responsible for internal departments, including technical, purchasing,
assembling, planning, quality, human resources, and finance. My main activities during these
years:
• Successfully created an effective and stable management team, achieving close to zero
voluntary resignations. Overcame challenges posed by the lack of qualified personnel, in a
third-tier Chinese city, with extensive training and coaching.
• Development and optimization of internal processes. Implemented a simple but clear system
of KPIs to focus employees' efforts.
• Production management according to Lean Production principles and involving all the
employees in continuous improvement activities.
• Promoted effective cooperation with European and Indian colleagues in sister companies
thanks to consolidated experience in cross-cultural communication.
• Implementation of Infor ERP and its integration with the headquarters system. Achievement of
the ISO9000 Certification
• Transfer of machinery manufacturing from the headquarters in Italy. Starting with basic models
and moving on to models with higher automation and always providing the market with the
same quality level as for products imported from Europe.
• Development and continuous improvement of a local supply chain. Development of an internal
team suitable to work with suppliers with minimal overhead costs but keeping high quality.
• Effective and fast upsizing and downsizing of the company to keep costs and headcount in line
with the strong variations in the textile machinery business.
