In addition to this I also manage the PPC (paid search) for on going promotions to increase and drive traffic to .com I work with a range of suppliers from L'Oreal and Maxfactor to Coty and Oral B to design and execute holistic online campaigns that engage users and build awareness of Superdrug as a brand. My biggest success has been within social media for Superdrug where my aim has been not to gain the most amount of ‘Likes’ or followers on our page but to increase and keep the engagement with our fans. My goal is to create social pages where customers can talk about their interests needs and wants such as celebrity gossip/fashion, make up tips and trends, but also to ‘give back’ to them through weekly competitions and prize give aways, How To’s, tips and advise. I encourage these users to share our posts and talk about featured topics to friends and other users with links to Superdrug.com to increase unique traffic and sales conversion. I have found this method has worked extremely well for us and as a result we recently reached 250,000 fans on Facebook and 18,899 on Twitter. We were number 5 most engaged Facebook page (on a daily basis) in the UK for August and September.
