class action litigation in respect of pension fund claims, the largest of which is a claim against
Transnet in the amount of ZAR80,000,000,000. My role also included letter writing (including letters of demand), drafting of minutes of meetings
(including pre-trial conferences), furnishing legal opinions on a range of issues, drafting various
notices, affidavits and pleadings, requests for and replies to requests for further particulars,
discovery affidavits, and notices of set down, issuing summonses and notices of motion, indexing,
pagination and service and filing of documents. August 2013 - February 2014: Banking and Financial Services Regulatory My role in this team involved, drafting and reviewing the rules of pension funds and medical aid
schemes registered in the Republic of South Africa, opinion work, report writing and memoranda
involving pension law, administrative law, and constitutional law and reviewing documents for the
purpose of due diligence investigations. February 2014 - July 2014: Corporate /M&A
My role in this team involved drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, such as lease
agreements, shareholders’ agreements and general terms and conditions of businesses. I was also
required to assist in the conduct of due diligence investigations.
Tokiso Dispute SettlementIntern
Jan. 2012 - Nov. 2012I worked for Tokiso Dispute Settlement, a company that provides dispute resolution administrative
services, as an intern. My role initially involved providing secretariat support for facilitations,
mediations and disciplinary enquiries; however it grew to assisting with the maintenance of the
company website, preparing and attending marketing pitches and the preparation of reports on
case management statistics, which were traditionally management tasks within that organisation.

Feb. 2011 - Nov. 2011I worked for the university as a tutor to the first and second year students in respect of the
Introduction to South African Law, Introduction to Constitutional law and Legal Information Literacy
courses. My role as a tutor involved assisting the relevant course coordinator’s with the preparation
of lesson plans, conducting tutorials with 1st year students, consulting with students and providing
feedback to the course coordinator on any difficulties the students encountered with the course.
