I drafted a power of attorney document and proofread and edited the company’s new master policy. I was also asked to take minutes for every meeting that took place for the duration of my time there. It was an enlightening experience as I'd never worked in house before and I enjoyed the environment of the office. I also found that having direct involvement in various departments of the company, such as their political lobbying committee, was refreshing and informative. At the end of my time I was asked to stay on as a paralegal and finish my studies remotely, but I decided I'd rather see out my time at Glasgow University.

I feel that the experience helped me to develop skills such as communication, organisation, multi-tasking and time management. This was the first time I’d been given responsibility for not only the course of the trip but also for the wellbeing and happiness of the group of 50. It was a truly memorable learning experience which I feel I have come away from much more prepared for the working world.
