Jan. 2022Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, BrasilAfter working one year at Omnivector by a third-party company, I officially joined Omnivector as a definitive employee. At Omnivector I am responsible for architecting the company's flagship software. My role is to plan the features together the business team and the Founder and then architect the solution on AWS. Beyond the architecture step I also implement the infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (mostly on top of CDK) and also I implement some pieces of the software using Juju to run on bare metal servers. For this role, Omnivector requires me to have deep understanding on most of the AWS services, such as EKS, EC2, S3 and Lambda. It also requires me to understand SQL databases (MySQL and PostgreSQL). Furthermore, I'm constantly optimizing the company's infrastructure to improve the performance and the costs. At Omnivector, I have the soft skills to lead a team of developers and have direct contact to the board of directors. Furthermore, I'm responsible for architecting and implementing the business plan that reflects in the infrastructure. By last, I also implement backend apps on top of the Python language.
