To achieve that goal, I maintained the unit’s administrative, maintenance, and physical property valued at over $2 Million. Because military operations require physical participation, I successfully met the challenges of coordinating training throughout COVID-19 concerns by planning and delivering a new system that assessed troop performance capabilities, mitigated risk of contact requirements, and tracked COVID related issues to minimize any disruptions to operations. Leveraging technology with my project management skills and comprehensive knowledge of the mission, I performed in-depth analyses that included time, cost, and planning strategies to assess feasibility while maintaining oversight of operations through success measuring metrics that simultaneously served as progress reports for stakeholders with very short lead times. Maximizing the unit’s capabilities, I delivered consistent motivation and incorporated Agile principles to shape and improve performance while also collaborating among cross-functional stakeholders to align the lessons learned register with continuous process improvements and self-directed problem solving for optimized program deliverables. Furthering the focus on top-performances, I identified skill gaps through various delivery models and developed trainings to resolve those gaps and prepare my team for certifications. Through effectively communicating lessons learned and documenting issues, I was instrumental in delivering project requirements through various COVID roadblocks while mitigating risk and ensuring quality of instruction for critical military readiness. Through an Agile approach to planning and strategizing, I engaged cross-functional stakeholders to identify expectations of the partnership, researched and updated project documents with new information to ensure a clear mission vision, and established benchmarks to measure accomplishments. Through my continuous process improvements and comprehensive planning, I ensured timely delivery in keeping with the mission goals and within budget while minimizing high-level risks. With a focus on strategy and sound resource management, I created plans that identified project needs and located/secured the resources for seamless project execution. Planning inputs and activities for milestone identification, I worked closely with cross-functional contributors to ensure that each expected milestone was reached in time with no negative impact on quality assurance. I also fostered positive and cohesive working relations through conflict management and resolution techniques. I also project led creating a training and support package for two battalion-level training cycles that required managing and accountability for $10M+ in equipment. Assessing the project missions, I gathered stakeholder expectations and modified project documents as needed to ensure a cohesive project approach and secured stakeholder approvals of any modifications through clear communications, educating on tools and technologies that streamlined processes while maximizing quality. Further, I identified and defined high-level risks, assumptions, and restrictions to allow improved strategic approaches while securing needed resources prior to execution. Aligning competing interests into a unified approach was achieved by Agile principles, clear communications, and negotiations that relied on my performance as a Subject Matter Expert and “go-to” for guidance on mission execution, tactical expertise, product development, and training plans. My value-add contributions included leveraging my training & development expertise to lead subordinate leaders through a complex certification process. Identifying skills gaps and providing strategies for learning while also ensuring EO initiatives and performing individual productivity evaluations served to deliver short- and long-term individual and team success that incorporated constructive feedback and mentoring. Finally, I conducted complex and strategic operations while deployed to the Republic of Korea, successfully aligning cross-functional processes throughout a new environment by establishing the connections and relationships that supported the mission.
