Aug. 2016 - Jul. 2017The Hague Area, NetherlandsMy work at ISPM began with the program development team, then as a Senior Lecturer, and eventually I
was called to lead the program to launch as interim Program Coordinator. This unique undergraduate
program drew students from all over the world and my primary role was to recruit enough students to
secure an inaugural cohort. Through efforts recruiting from schools and at conferences in five different
countries, I exceeded the recruiting targets by 200% and the program successfully launched.
• Student recruitment
o Met with prospective students and their families face to face, in virtual meetings, at
conferences/fairs and in Open Day events.
o Showcased our program in person at high school (IB) fairs and conferences in The Netherlands,
Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, and the United Arab Emirates.
o Established student recruiting and programmatic partnership plan with the International
Baccalaureate (IB) Foundation, a global leader in international education.
o Collaborated with communication and marketing departments to develop creative materials and
strategies.
o Managed recruitment leads through inquiry, application, enrollment and registration cycle.
o Developed skills in cross-cultural communication, diversity and inclusion approaches to recruit a
student body that was more than 60% international students.
• Advisement
o Coordinated and provided advisement and personal support for incoming International first
year students to include course registration, housing advice, Visa resources, stress
management, etc.
• Hired and managed administrative assistant for support with communication flows.
• Co-chaired faculty selection committee and curriculum design committee.
• Worked with Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) initiative.
