Innovative Solutioning & Research I Identified a gap in the market for a user-friendly digital stock management solution for micro-merchants and I went on to develop the business & revenue models for the product as the product moves onto monetisation. Over a period of 3 months, I assembled a team to build the Entrepreneur Suite product; the team included a graphic designer, app developer, web developer and external consultants. I then led the team in building and releasing the MVP. I researched the required service providers that would allow us to build a robust product as we scale and grow, especially in the areas of AI, mobile & data analytics. These services include Snowflake, AWS’s Sagemaker and Google Firebase services and peripherals. Product design I conducted many interviews with micro-retailers in multiple locations and markets to further understand their needs. I used a formal interview template which I shared beforehand and conducted a SWOT analysis during the interview. I designed the UI for the Suite product end-to-end, and composed the specification documents for both design requirements and functional requirements. I developed project plans, budget allocations and assembled the team for the Entrepreneur Suite project. I supported the development team in facilitating open communication to build trust and synergy in the team to ensure an agile development process. User-testing While bringing this solution to market, the MVP was piloted in two periods of 3 months in two geographic locations. In each environment, I would observe the product in action and interview users and communicate findings with the team for the next iteration.

Consulting with startups and corporations, supporting them in the journey from problem to solution. I have been serving Innovate Durban and its startup pool as an ad-hoc consultant, where I support founders in creating business and revenue models through reflective conversation, business plan review and problem recognition. In addition, I provide strategic consulting to technical teams and guide them to identify the backlog of vital value-add product MVP features that they should focus on, allowing the team to quickly address market needs, test product-market fit, and then subsequently iterate on improving the solution. Innovative Solutioning & Research I drove the business case that saw Airos adopt Flutter as an app development framework to open a revenue opportunity, save costs and reduce project lead times. This solution was pivotal in building the Psyched and Catalyst products. Product Design I facilitated customer interviews to extract system requirements, UX design and product-market fit as the general interface between technology and business. I composed road maps and budgets and translated them into issue boards for the development and design teams using Trello. I designed UI prototypes to ensure the design and development teams clearly understood what was required of them as they entered the initial iterations. I supported the customer, as well as the development and design teams throughout the development and release stages, negotiating new requirements and working with the teams to prioritise the product backlog and testing efforts. User-testing: I played a vital role in actively supporting customers by setting up active feedback loops, assessing user feedback, analysing metrics via available analytics tools, communicating findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders and planning updates.
