My responsibilities included report writing and collaborating with clients,lawyers and insurance brokerages regularly.
I was tasked with building relations with pre-existing clients and with new contract acquisitions and maintenance. I fostered a strong rapport that has exceeded my employment and have been consulted over the years since on several occasions regarding employee management and conflict resolution.
In this role, I was required to learn contract building and was directly responsible for an annual increase in revenue once implemented. I was responsible for creating new training materials for new hires and on boarding packets, as well as personally training the new hires in their new role, and setting them up with proper trainers so that they were set up for success.
I fostered a healthy work environment and implemented changes to daily operations that made workflow more efficient which helped with employee retention, resulting in long-term employees.
I implemented employee perks that had not previously existed with the company before my tenure, such as monthly dinners where the employees would get to choose to have a home made meal and dessert of their choosing with their coworkers, on my personal time and dime, where they could relax and express themselves and their grievances to management without having to worry about repercussion and where a solution might be found in a healthy environment, which resulted in happier employees who were happy to work with the company.
I was responsible for building new company policies that reflected California labor law, and California laws to keep us compliant with state and federal agencies.
