iSqFt / ConstructConnectCivil Reporter / Civil (groundwork) Construction Division
Jan. 2011 - Dec. 2012Cincinnati, Ohio, United StatesThe company provides SaaS services to the construction industry - general contractors, subcontractors, manufacturers, etc. - by finding construction projects coming up for bid, adding those projects to their platform, and gathering any and all data possible on that project, from plans and specs for the project, to bid dates, requirements for submitting a bid such as insurance requirements, the bid date, etc etc. Their clients log onto their profile and can see all jobs coming up for bid in their area, and decide based on the available information whether or not they'd like to bid on the project. I had two roles within this company: Role 1: - Working in the civil construction division, I was responsible for a market that covered a few states, and searching for the plans and specs for all jobs already loaded onto the company's platform within those states. The company's software allowed me to maintain a task list and set follow-up dates, and I followed up on each project until I procured the plans and specs for each project and had them uploaded to our company's platform. - My management team was very satisfied with my performance in this job. I was able to secure plans and specs for certain large city municipalities that had, in the past, refused to work with our company. This added a lot of value to the company's subscribing clients in that region of the country. Role 2: - I was switched over to the role of searching for the projects that were coming up for bid. The company provided me with a list of websites that were searched every day, websites that posted upcoming projects for bid. I would read the description of the project and decide whether it was relevant and suitable for adding to the company's platform.
