• Responsible for assigning project and technical resources to projects as appropriate. Profiling their availability and workload via the use of Primavera P6.
• Identified and tracked both internal and external dependencies which crossed multiple projects and programmes.
• Devised and implemented a new process for tracking the Project Office’s portfolio of work.
• Managed a budget of over £17m per financial year ensuring the correct assurances were in place for audit purposes.
• Managed all the Project Office plans which ensured visibility of all project milestones to customers. This also enabled customers to effectively measure the benefits associated with projects.
• Revised a take on work process to streamline and improve one which already existing. This ensured that requirements and RFC’s were assessed, logged and tracked prior to the mobilisation of a project or work package.
• Oversaw and managed the selection of suppliers and letting of contracts.
• Lead a team of 9 Project Managers, 7 Technical specialists, 2 business change consultants and PSO support. These consisted of permanent members of staff and sub-contracting staff.
