Determining what stock is required seasonally, at what levels and pricing. Purchasing and liaising with suppliers for ordering stock and working out seasonal budgets. Researching new suppliers. Hiring and supervision of staff and being in charge of all staff training. Also understanding and training for health and safety compliance. Stock management – coding of stock and receiving of stock on delivery in-store. Achieving sales targets including:
• merchandising - keeping stock levels & racks up to date and in order. • keeping displays up to date and in order to enhance the store & the stock, the ambience of the store as well as the cleanliness & tidiness, • capturing people to go on our database and where suitable securing clients for one on one appointments, listing stock requests in the Enquiries Book and following up on these as and when stock arrives.
• handling online sales, phone enquiries, preparing goods for despatch and return - such as appros, alterations, online store purchases, and dry-cleaning. Creating and implementing a marketing strategy for the Designer Clothing Gallery encompassing all of the following platforms – Social Media, Database Mailouts, Website and online store promotions, print and promotional media, in-store promotions and events and working with local media, promotions and events for cross-promotion opportunities. Keeping informed and up to date on all aspects of the Designer Clothing Gallery (DCG) website and advertising and marketing, including database emails. Establishing a Customer Client Base and update new contacts into the database correctly with suitable customers who come in the store. Also identifying any potential appointment customers as well as my own network and contacts.
